Wondershare DVD to BlackBerry is a very professional and easy to use DVD to BlackBerry conversion application. The steps below are to guide you on how to convert DVD movies for playback on BlackBerry:
Step 1: Import DVD Movie
Insert your DVD disc to your DVD ROM, click the Load DVD button, select your drive and click OK. If your movie is saved on your hard drive, you can just select the folder of your DVD movie, and click OK.
After you import your DVD disc, you can see all the chapters and titles in it, and then you can select the titles or chapters you want to convert. If you want to convert the whole movie, you can just keep all the titles or chapters ticked.
Note: If a title is already checked, you should not check the chapters under it, otherwise, the title will be converted twice.
Step 2: Edit Movie
Wondershare DVD to BlackBerry Converter allows you to edit your DVD movie by trimming movie length, cropping video and setting movie effects.
1. Trim Movie
If you just want to convert a clip from the current title or chapter, you can click the Trim icon to capture a clip. In the Trim window, you can do the trim by either dragging the Start Time and End Time sliders or inputting the time values in the Start Time and End Time fields.
2. Crop Video
If your DVD video has black sides, you can use this Crop function to remove them. Click the Crop icon to open the Crop window, and set the crop area by dragging the crop frame or setting the four crop values(Top, Bottom, Left and Right).
3. Movie Effect
If you want to edit the movie effects, you can click the Effect icon to set the video brightness, contrast, saturation, and audio volume. You can also choose to apply a special effect to your movie video and the available effects are Gray, Emboss and Negative.
Step 3: Output Settings
If you DVD video has black sides, you can use this Crop function to remove them. Click the Crop icon to open the Crop window, and set the crop area by dragging the crop frame or setting the four crop parameters (Top, Bottom, Left and Right).
Before the conversion, there are a few settings you should make:
Input the name each title or chapter in the Destination File field and select a subtitle and an audio track for the conversion.Select an output format from the Format drop-down list for different versions of BlackBerry phones.Click the Settings button to set the encoding settings including video resolution, frame rate, bit rate and video encoder, audio encoding settings including sample rate, channel, bit rate and audio encoder.
Note: You can check the “Merger into one file” option to join all the selected DVD titles/chapters into one file instead of creating a separated file for each title/chapter.
Step 4: Click the Start button to start the conversion. And now you can just go get a cup of coffee and wait till the conversion is finished, and then transfer the converted files to your BlackBerry.
